Fork in the Road

Writing about feminism, relationships, gender, identity, fiction, poetry and life by a Bay area questioning, sarcastic, warm-hearted, tech diva who was once married and monogamous for many years and then took a new fork in the road --a much more interesting and unpredictable fork.

Friday fun: The pervert's Cookbook

Even sluts gotta eat, right?

That seems like the philosophy of the newly launched blog, The Pervert's Cookbook, in which a bevvy of everyone's favorite sex bloggers descend from pre--and post--coital heights to share recipes for mac and cheese, devilled eggs, and burgers--not gourmet fare, exactly, but clearly meant to be eaten naked.

Keep it up, folks!

Tales of a female Nomad

Reading a wonderful book called Tales of a Female Nomad by Rita Golden Gelman. This 60-something children's book writer from Los Angeles got divorced after 24 years and began traveling around the world, living for long periods of time in remote areas and exotic spots where she grew close to local families. Bali, Borneo, Malaysia, Mexico...she did 'em all.
For me,  it's both a great read, and very inspiring--I'd say that her ability to trust people and connect emotionally, as well as her feistiness and warmth--made her successful as a traveler settling in the spots she visited.
