The mammogram was normal...so I am on alert

The doctor's office finally called and they said the mammogram was ruled normal: no need to return until a "normal" interval.

Do you think I am going to get that film and pay to get a second opinion?  Damn skippy!

Diet: Plateaued

In case anyone is wondering, I weigh about the same thing right now I weighed 4 months, seesawing up and down 4 lbs.  Means I'm down about 22 from last year.

Means I have another 25 or so to go.  When?

Diet update: slow going, new motivation

So I am down 20 pounds and holding. Man, it's hard!  To really lose weight,I need to not only manage my eating, I need to exercise--and make time to exercise--and it's been challenging recently.
So, I started working out 50 minutes a day on the treadmill--this means I can do my 3 miles a day on a machine--not as much fun as outside--but at least a good workout.  I've done this for the past 2 days and am heading to the exercise room right now for today's 3 miles.

My goal is to loose at least another 10 pounds by May, when I am going to a wedding with John, and have a new dress I got online I'd like to wear that is just too small. 

Since this is March 10th, that gives me 2 months to lose 10 pounds, or 8 weeks(duh)--that's 1- 1.5 pounds a week--if I do 3 miles a day and keep my calories around 12oo a day most days (a challenge), I can do that for sure.

I am looking so much better than I was--it's inspiring, but I am terrified of backslipping--I see just how easy it is to regain the weight--and I want to NOT go there.

Down 2 lbs this week

Whoppee!~ Even though it was Xmas week, I lost 2 pounds! That means I am down 10.5 lbs since November 29th (my start date). Gee, I only want to lose another 45--that should take me till the summer, no doubt.

As my weight goes down, not only do my regular clothes fit, but my confidence goes up. I feel like at this weight I at at the verge of looking hot. 10 more pounds and I will feel totally hot, even though I will still be overweight--call if the Miracle of the Small Waist and the Big Boobs(Kid, close your eyes if you are reading this).

I am starting to realize that by the time I am, say, 40 pounds lighter, I may be a very different person. Losing that weight may uncover layers of self-esteem issues I have put off facing for years--and I'll need to deal with them.  I will also need to deal with all the male attention I will receive (more on that in the next post).

It's going to be interesting--I'm game.

Diet--I lost another pound!

I am down a pound. Okay, two---since last week. At this time of year, this is profound....the temptations are endless--and I don't mean wine and cookies, I mean eating larger sized portions and meals not on my program.

Have been walking more and will hit the gym today-that's what makes the difference,

Diet: It's happening, still

"Imagine that your reasons for dieting are your pearls, and you keep them with you during the holiday season," the behaviorist said in our session last week.Work your string of pearls to get through all these holiday occasions."

I've been trying hard to stay on the diet, and I'm gaining resolve as the pounds slows go down--I need to get more exercise and stay on the diet to make this work--and I am really trying,

Have lost 8.5 lbs and would like to lose 2-3 this coming week when I have more time to execise more.

diet update

down nine pounds.  have learned i am my own worst enemy when it comes to nibbling--but I am improving. Learning how to make pudding from the shakes has been tremenous--that actually feels like eating, no drinking, so it works out really well.

And exercise--need to consistently do that!  10 weeks and 40 lbs to go.
